1. Prenatal Stimulation 

       A very effective techniques is verbal communication of the expecting mother and father to the unborn baby. Then hearing melodious music, vedic chanting, moral stories, spiritual discourse, playing mind and memory games etc., and most importantly the expecting mother must be stress-free and be happy always.
          Be careful over stimulation cause confusion and undermine the benefits you are tying to achieve and they stop responding. 

2. Yoga
         
      Yoga exercise helps the expecting mother in all the ways from conception till post delivery. But you have to practice it after learning practically under any experts supervision. And also after getting your doctor advice.

3. Do's and Don'ts during pregnancy

Common discomfort :

                     4. Backache (avoid slippers with heels)
                     5. Leg cramp (do leg exercise) 
  • Be careful in getting in & out of the car.
  • Work tips in office : don't sit in single place for long time, have balance diet ie., greens, fruits, veggies, egg, health mix, etc., according to your convenient.
  • Work tips at home :
                                    1. Avoid weight lifting more than 5 kgs
                           2. Avoid lifting from sitting position.

  • During shopping weight evenly on both sides. No over stretch.

Pregnancy care

 

 1. Fresh air & calm surroundings.
2. Clean water & fresh food.
3. Balanced diet & proper exercising ( colored / rainbow colored fruits & veggies, dry fruits like dates, badam, walnut, reduce cashew, take seasonal fruits)
4. Milk (appro. 1 lt daily), milk products, panner, curd, buttermilk)
5. Reduce coconut.
6. Have iron rich foods.
7. Avoid consuming maida products, oily foods, more sour, sweets, salty foods.
8. Apply oil or coco-butter cream before bath & moisturizer after bath.
9. Cleaning the nipples & pulling them forward.
10. Wear supportive braziers.
11. Keep Virgina clean & dry.
12. Avoid deo & strong perfumes.
13. Brush twice a day. massage the gum. dental care is most important.
14. Bath twice a day in Luke warm water.
15. Always wear clean, sweat absorbing, loose fitting cloths.
16. Controlled sexual contact with safer position in the 1st trimester. Avoid in last one month before due date & 2 months after delivery.
17. Avoid mosquito repellents.
18. 8 hours sleep in night & 1 hour nap in noon is must.
19. Left side lying is best. Avoid straight lying.
20. Can do normal work till 2 weeks before delivery.
21. Walk in fresh air in the morning & evening.
22. Minimize the use of cell phones, microwaves etc.,
23. Avoid sauna belts, working outside in hot summer days.
24. Avoid hugging dogs & cats.
25. Avoid pesticides.
26. Avoid chemical fumes or smoke.
27. Avoid x-ray units, ct scan center, poultry farms.
28. Avoid dust, smoke or passive smoking.
29. Avoid visiting sick people.
30.Avoid sitting near people who sneeze or cough.
31. Eat only when hungry.
32. Avoid junk foods.
33. Avoid uncooked food.
34. Watch your weight gain
          1st trimester - each month 1 kg increase
          2nd trimester - each month 2 kg increase
          3rd trimester - each month 1 kg increase
35. 70% of baby's brain development occurs during pregnancy. So have brain foods like fish, soya, almond, milk, liver, egg, peanuts, greens, dals, fruits, etc.,

4. Diet 



1. Lot of water.
2. Have 4-6 glasses of milk a day.
3. Easily digestible, low fat, low salt food.
4. Avoid pickle.
5. Avoid fasting.
6. Avoid hotel foods.
7. Avoid fast foods, fried items & cola/ bottled drinks.
8. Take fresh juices & tender coconut water.
9. Minimize intake of coffee or tea, as it increase the probability of child contracting diabetes. can try green tea.
10. Add lots of greens, fruits & semi cooked veggies to avoid constipation - take high fiber foods.
11. Avoid direct sweets.
12. Avoid self-medication or over the counter drugs.
13. Avoid pimple treatment.
14. Be regular in taking vitamins, iron or calcium supplements.
15. Regular medical check-up.
16. If diabetic or heart patient, have a periodical check-up.
17. Immediately consult doctor if :
                 a. vaginal bleeding
                 b. continuous & severe head ache
                 c. increase in vomiting
                 d. urinary infection
                 e. swelling of face
                 f. sleeplessness, eyesight problem or pain in abdomen
              g. abnormal fetal movement or no movement for 6 hours or more
